Carer Support in Northamptonshire's General Hospitals

We have Carer Support Workers based at Northampton and Kettering General Hospitals (NGH & KGH) who aim to:

• Make a positive difference to the lives of unpaid Carers and patients who experience a journey through the hospital system.
• Support with navigation from admission to home.
• Support unpaid Carers who may find themselves in hospital, leaving their loved ones at home.
• Offer emotional support, practical advice and information, liaise with other hospital teams/professionals, support with discharge and refer for Carers Assessments or further support post discharge where appropriate.

All Carers are welcome to access this service.

We also have a Dementia Support Worker in Northampton General Hospital who will support your loved ones going through the hospital system.
